She was a member of a very large, respected Casey County, KY family. She was the widow of Elmer Burton. She leaves 97 direct living descendants. She was a longtime employee of Liberty Sportswear and Oshkosh and a member of Christ Tabernacle Church

Lucille E. Burton passed away Wednesday November 14, 2012 at her home in Casey County, KY. She was 85.

Funeral services are 1pmET/12pm noon CT. Saturday November 17, 2012 at Christ Tabernacle Church with Bro. Wayne Naylor, Bro. Lee Burton and Bro. Steven Allen officiating. Burial is at Whited Cemetery. Visitation is 6pm-9pmET/5pm-8pmCT, Friday, November 16, 2012 f. at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, and Saturday at the church from 11amET/10amCT, until funeral service.

Lucille E. Burton, Casey Co., KY (1927)

She was born August 23, 1927 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late James and Lola Allen Buck. She died Wednesday, November 14, 2012, in Casey County, KY at the age of 85, 2 months, and 22 days.

She was a longtime employee of Liberty Sportswear and Oshkosh and a member of Christ Tabernacle Church.

Lucille is the widow of Elmer Burton, who passed away April 12, 1968.

Survivors include the following:
  • Sons: Phillip Burton , James (Barbara) Burton and Darrell (Anita) Burton all of Liberty, KY

  • Daughters: Francis Allen of Edinburgh, Indiana; Reamona (Paul) Martin of Liberty, KY; and Shirley Hayes of Liberty, KY

  • Twenty-six grandchildren

  • Forty-nine great grandchildren

  • Sixteen great great grandchildren

  • Brothers: Junior Buck of Indiana and Lowell Buck of Florida

  • Sister: Charlotte Ottman of Indiana
