She was a member of a large, respected Metcalfe County, KY, family, the wife of Juan Hernandez, who survives. She leaves 13 direct living descendants

Brenda Lee Johns, age 53 of Edmonton died Friday November 9, 2012 at her home.

Graveside service will be held 1pmCT, Sunday, November 11, 2012, at her residence on Miller Street in Edmonton, KY. Visitation will be Sunday from 11amCT, until 12:30pmCt at the Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY.



She was the daughter of the late Homer and Martha Johns.

She is survived by husband Juan Hernandez, and the following:
  • Four daughters: Rebekah Cordero, Amanda Jones, Jessica Pittman, Melissa Pittman, all of Edmonton, KY

  • Two sisters: Christen Phillips of Tennessee; Linda Eldrige of Elizabethtown, KY

  • Two brothers: Howard Slater of Edmonton, KY; and Gene Slater of Florida

  • Nine grandchildren: Marvin Lutin, Aleah Cuevas, Isaiah Cuevas, Timothy Bowen Jr. Joshua Jones, Austin Jones, Maranda Bennett, Tyler Vibbert, and David Chase Blankenship.
Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
