Tucker's Station Wool;y Worm has made prediction The Official Tucker's Station Woolly Worm Meteorological Study for Winter Weather 2012 Indicates a Mild Winter Forecast for the Farm Click on headline for complete story with photo By Barbara Armitage News from The Farm at Tucker's Station An in-depth scientific meteorological study has been taking place at Tucker's Station Farms this fall. No less than three Wooly Worms have been consulted and it has been determined that the winter of 2012 will be a mild one. Here at Tuckers Station we see the forecast as rather cut and dry but apparently there are a lot of people who spend way too much time and money on this subject for my way of thinking. We'll call them the poo-pooers, nay-sayers; show me the stats, city kind of folks. We don't call them "wrong" because even if it's true it's not nice. Kristen Walls of WHAS 11 in Louisville, KY conducted an official high tech poll on Facebook this fall and still came up with what we believe to be the wrong forecast. For all her sophisticated equipment and college educated weather folk she has completely overlooked one fact - that Woolly Worms are location specific in their forecasting abilities. You can't be comparing one Wooly Worm with one 50 miles away and expect to get an accurate forecast. Several other uppity people have also conducted so-called research but since they don't give proper credit to the accuracy of the Wooly Worms' forecast I don't think that they are actually worth mentioning in this article. As for Wayne and I - we believe. - Barbara Armitage This story was posted on 2012-11-07 10:22:17
