Earl Delmer Buis, age 66, of Liberty, KY, passed away on Wednesday October 31, 2012, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerset, KY.

Visitation will be held at 5pmET/4pmCT, Friday November 2, 2012 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY. Funeral services will be held 1pmET/12pm noon CT, Saturday, November 3, 2012, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Molden officiating. Burial will follow in the Rich Hill Cemetery in Casey County, KY.

Earl Delmer Buis, was born in Liberty, Casey County, KY, on August 12, 1946. He was a son of the late Claude and Bannie Parton Buis. He died Wednesday, October 31, 2012, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 66 years, 2 months, and 19 days.

He was a timberman and a farmer.

Survivors include his wife; Sue Vaught Buis and the following:
  • One daughter: Rachel Michelle Vaught of Bethelridge, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Zachery Vaught and Caitlynn Murphy

  • Three brothers: Harold (Margie) Buis of Yosemite, KY; Sterling (Ruby) Buis of Liberty, KY; and Glen Buis of Pellyton, KY

  • Five sisters: Ethel Mae (Brent) Smith and Debbie (Carl) McAninch both of Liberty, KY; Sue Clements of Indianapolis, IN; Carol (Jimmy) Loy of Russell Springs, KY; and Louise (Billy) Rodgers of Greensburg, KY

  • And one sister in law: Charlsa Buis of Liberty, KY
Preceding him in death by one brother: Vernon Buis and one brother-in-law: Lilburn Clements.
