Roosevelt "R.V." Coffey, age 85, of Tonkin Drive, Russell Springs, died Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at the Fair Oaks Nursing in Jamestown, KY.

Funeral service for Roosevelt "R.V." Coffey will be at 1pmCT Thursday, November 1, 2012, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY with burial in the Salem Cemetery. Friends may call after 11amCT, Thursday at the Bernard Funeral Home in Russell Springs. Rev. James Haun will be the officiating clergy.



Pallbearers: Lenney Coffey, Wendell Coffey, Joe Pierre, Rodney Perry, Rick Bradshaw, Pam Pierre.

Roosevelt (RV) Coffey, 85, Russell Springs, KY (1926-2012)

He was born Saturday, December 26, 1926. He ws the son of the late Dewey and the late Erma Wells Coffey. He died Tuesday, October 30, 2012, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 85 year, 10 months, and 4 days.

He was an automobile mechanic.

He was preceeded in death by his wife: Ruby Meece Coffey.

He is survived by the following:
  • Five children: Sandra Edwards, Russell Springs, KY; Barbara (David) McFarland, Russell Springs, KY; Lenny (Kristy) Coffey, Cincinnati, Ohio; Wendell Coffey, Russell Springs, KY; and Pam (Joe) Pierre, Cincinnati, Ohio

  • Three step children: Larry Bradshaw, Italy; Rosa Lee Harper, Cincinnati, Ohio; and Rick Bradshaw, Cincinnati, Ohio

  • Six grandchildren

  • Ten great grandchildren

  • One brother: Arnold Coffey, Russell Springs, KY
