Work on the new Springhouse Herb Garden at the Trabue-Russell House, 201 Jamestown Street, Columbia has hit an unexpected snag. Plans for the herb garden include two stone benches where hard working gardeners and those who simply appreciate beautiful gardens can sit and rest a moment. Our problem is we haven't been able to locate a stone for the seat of the second bench. We need the community's help. If you have a stone approximately 18 inches wide, 36 inches long and 2 to 4 inches thick and are willing to part with it we need you. We are willing to pay a modest sum for the bench stone and we have the means to haul it.
