LWC Women's Basketball 4th in the MSC preseason poll The Blue Raider Women's Basketball team host Mid-Continent University at Biggers By Chris Wells News from Lindsey Wilson College LOUISVILLE, KY - The Lindsey Wilson College women's basketball team is tied for fourth-place in the Mid-South Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, conference officials announced on Sunday, October 21, 2012. The Blue Raiders and reigning MSC co-regular season and tournament champion University of the Cumberlands (Williamsburg, KY) each received 74 voting points in the poll from the MSC coaches' vote. Shawnee State University (Portsmouth, OH) is the clear-cut choice to win the Mid-South after receiving 96 voting points and eight of the 11 first-place vote. Georgetown College (Georgetown, KY) is second in the voting with 84 voting points and two first-place votes followed by Campbellsville University (Campbellsville, KY) with 80 voting points and the final first-place vote. Coaches are not allowed to vote for their own team. Lindsey Wilson tied for fifth a season ago in the MSC with a 7-9 record. The Blue Raiders ended 2011-12 with a 20-13 overall record. Lindsey Wilson has reached the NAIA National Tournament each of the last five seasons, including last season where the Blue Raiders fell in the opening round to the eventual national runner-up.
