ACGC offers many opportunities for classes for ladies - and men Comments re article 55216 Activities for Columbia ladies Any interest By Barbara Armitage News from the Adair County Garden Club Most recently the Adair County Garden Club arranged an evening class by special request, "Landscaping with Crepe Myrtles" class for the "ladies" AND the gentlemen of Adair County. The ACGC offers a wide variety of classes every month to its members and the public. We invite you all to join the Adair County Garden Club on Thursday, October 25, 2012, at 1pmCT or 5:30pmCT for "Landscaping with Crepe Myrtles" presented by Beth Rutherford. The class will be held in the basement of the Columbia Adair Chamber of Commerce, 201 Burkesville Street, Columbia. Everyone is invited to attend. Beth Rutherford is a Master Gardener with nearly two decades of experience cultivating one of her favorite garden plants the "Crepe Myrtle". She will share her secrets of successful growing of this all but forgotten garden icon of the south including planting, care and pruning - sometimes sadly known as Crepe Murder. Everyone at the class will receive a free Crepe Myrtle to plant in their own garden. Additional Crepe Myrtles will be available for sale to students at the extraordinary price of $3.00 each. Early registration is recommended. Class tuition is free for active ACGC members and $5.00 for non-members and in-active members. To register please contact Barbara Armitage at 270-250-2979. - Barbara Armitage This story was posted on 2012-10-19 06:12:43
