Applications available for Div 1 School Board Vacancy

Seat is open following resignation of Rebecca Turner

By Alan W. Reed, Superintendent, Adair Co., KY Schools

Please be advised that I was notified this morning by Kentucky Commissioner of Education, Dr. Terry Holliday, that he has accepted the letter of resignation of Ms. Rebecca Turner as school board member, Division 1.

We will begin running an announcement as supplied by KDE on November 7, 2012 and again November 14, 2012 in all local media providing details for application.

While the official advertisement for applicants will not run until November 7th and 14th 2012, I was advised by the Department of Education that applications requesting appointment to fill the vacated position are now available in my office. Interested individuals may pick up an application anytime during our regular business hours, at the Adair County Schools Central Office, 1204 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY.

If you have questions feel free to call me at 270-384-2476.

Sincerely,
Alan W. Reed, Superintendent.
