He attended the Beaumont Methodist Church and was a retired Tinsmith in the Automotive Industry. He was a member of the Gold Wing Chapter of Kokomo and Local 292 Auto Workers Union in Kokomo. He was a Master Mason of New London 283 in London, Indiana

John David Brittain II, age 71 of Willow Shade, died Tuesday, October 16 at home.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 19, 2012, at 2pmCT, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, with cremation to follow. Visitation will be Friday, October 19, 2012, at 7amCT until time for service, at the funeral home.



He was a son of the late John David Brittain I and Rosemary James Brittain.

He attended the Beaumont Methodist Church and was a retired Tinsmith in the Automotive Industry.

He was a member of the Gold Wing Chapter of Kokomo and Local 292 Auto Workers Union in Kokomo. He was a Master Mason of New London 283 in London, Indiana.

He is survived by the following:
  • Two sons: Michael (Barbara)Brittain of Frankfort,IN; and John David (Stephanie) Brittain III of Kokomo, IN

  • Grandchildren: Drake, Christina, and Jackson Brittain and Cassidy (Justin) Bailey

  • Great granddaughter: Kaydence Bailey

  • A previous wife: Sandra Ann Wagner

  • Special friends and caregivers: Aurora Hayes and Joyce Pedigo as well as friends Neil Ward and Bessie Howar
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Weldon Yokashi and one sister, Barbara Jean Brittain.

Memorials are requested to the local charity of your choice.

McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, in charge of arrangements.
