No. 2 Lindsey Wilson Men's Soccer defeats No. 15 Bryan LWC Senior Defender Sicelo Buthelezi, Johannesburg, South Africa, scored the game winner in the 25th minute Click on headline for complete story, photo By Dan White News from Lindsey Wilson College COLUMBIA, KY - In a battle of NAIA top-15 teams, sometimes it only takes one goal to win it.And that's just what No. 2 Lindsey Wilson College got, as Sicelo Buthelezi collected a pass from Lwandiso Gonya in the box and finished it into the back of the net for a 1-0 Blue Raider win against 15th-ranked Bryan College of Dayton, TN, on Saturday night, October 13, 2012, at Walter S. Reuling Stadium, 151 Holloway Drive, Columbia, KY. It was an evenly played affair, although the overall shot totals show Lindsey Wilson with an 11-4 advantage, when looking at shots on goal it's the Lions in front at 2-1. Buthelezi's strike in the 25th minute was the only shot on frame, but it was also the only ball that made it past a goalkeeper as Bryan's Josh Oldroyd was unable to make the stop. Tom Moody paced the Lindsey Wilson offense with three shots as Johannes Muller matched him with three shots for Bryan. Two of Muller's attempts were on goal, but Lindsey Wilson's Yuta Nomura was there to make the save both times. Corner kicks went in favor of the Lions 4-3, while fouls also went to Bryan at 11-9. For Bryan, the loss was just its second of the season as it falls to 10-2-1 overall. The Blue Raiders improve to 13-1-0 with only three games left in the regular season. - from Dan White, Lindsey Wilson College Next: The Blue Raiders' next home game is their regular-season finale against Martin Methodist (TN) University, at 7pmCT, Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Walter S.
