Emma Lloyd, Adair County, KY (1926-2012)

Ms. Lloyd was postmistress of the Cundiff Post Office for over 37 years and was a member of Melson Ridge Separate Baptist Church. She was the widow of the late Osby Loyd and the matriarch of a large, highly regarded South Adair County, KY, family

Emma Lloyd, 86, of the Cundiff community, died Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 2:30 P.M. at the Westlake Regional Hospital, Columbia, KY.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 1pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville, KY, with Bro. Stanley Watson and Bro. Richard Lehman officiating. Burial in Shearer Cemetery at Cundiff. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Monday, October 15, 2012, at the funeral home.


Casket Bearers: Bradley Bradshaw, Joe Hare, Darren Bradshaw, Jeff Pike, and Billy Helm.

Honorary: Avalee Huddleston, Buford Hadley

Emma Lloyd, Adair County, KY (1926-2012)

She was born Saturday, August 21, 1926, in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Hiram and Lula Pittman Wright. She died Saturday, October 13, 2012 in Columbia, Adair County, KY at the age of 86 years. 1 month, and 23 days.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Osby Lloyd, her son, Larry Lloyd and a grandson, Dwayne Lloyd.

Ms. Lloyd was postmistress of the Cundiff Post Office for over 37 years and was a member of Melson Ridge Separate Baptist Church.

Survivors include:
  • Two daughters: Beverly (Phillip) Burton and Glenda Snow all of Columbia, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Wesley Melson, Brandon Bloyd, Bridgette, Derek and Amanda Lloyd

  • Five great grandchildren

  • One step great grandchild

  • And two step great great grandchildren
