The Breeding Area Volunteer Fire Department is holding Technical training exercises in various locations in Adair County this weekend. Last night, the class was held at the Breeding Fire Station, this morning, they are at the Roadside Park, 2310 S. Highway 55 Road, this afternoon low angle rappelling on Wheeler Hill Road, and, next week, steep angle rapelling at an unnamed - for safety reasons - locations.

"Steep angle rappelling and swift water rescue training is the most dangerous training we undergoing," BAVFD Training Officer Brandon Harvey said. "That's why we don't - as a rule - disclose the location. We don't want to add more risks by having spectators."

The class was instructed by Brandon Harvey, Chris Taylor, and Matt Goodin of the BAVFD. Others present from BAVFD were Tyler Cundiff, Daniel Turner, Jane Potts, Richard Dewitt, Jonathan Reams, and Daniel Cook. Taking part from Campbellsville Fire Department were Jason Rainwater, Adam Dobson, and Aaron Field. Later today, the class will move to Wheeler Hill, Wheeler Hill Road, near the Antioch community in South Adair County for rapelling classes.
