KSP makes arrest in Meade Co domestic violence dispute By MTPR Norman Chaffins News from Kentucky State Police Post 4, Elizabethtown, KY BRANDENBURG, KY) - On Sunday, September 30, 2012 at approximately 2:59pmET KSP Post 4 received a call from the Meade County Sheriff's Office requesting assistance in locating Arthur (Ray) Davis, 40, of Brandenburg, KY. Davis had been involved in a domestic dispute when he fled the scene in a vehicle armed with a handgun. KSP Sgt. Tim Adams made phone contact with Davis who implied that he was going to commit suicide. Sgt. Adams and Tpr. Justin Spears spotted Davis a short time later walking alongside the railroad tracks. He was taken into custody but did not have a weapon in his possession. Davis was taken to Life Springs at Hardin Memorial Hospital where he was evaluated and released. He was charged with Disorderly Conduct 2nd, Fleeing or Evading 1st Degree, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, and Tampering with Physical Evidence and lodged in the Meade County Jail. Tpr. Seth Payne and his K-9 Fero were utilized to conduct an article search of the area in which Davis was located. After searching through fields and other areas Fero alerted in an area alongside the railroad tracks near the edge of the woods. Troopers and Fero located the missing handgun next to a tree underneath some brush. Tpr. Shannan White is conducting the ongoing investigation.
