Glen Finn, 88, Center, KY (d. Sept. 30, 2012)

He was a highly regarded citizen of North Metcalfe County, KY and the patriarch of a large family. He leaves 17 direct living descendants. He was a brother of the late Virginia Phelps of Columbia, KY, and had many relatives here. He was the son of the late George Taylor and Carrie Keltner Finn, a WWII veteran and a member of the Center United Methodist Church

Glen Finn, age 88, of Center, kY died Sunday September 30, 2012 at his home.

Funeral services will be 1pmCT, Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at the Center United Methodist Church, 50 Hiseville-Center Road, Center, Metcalfe County, KY with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-8pmCT, Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at the Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, and 10amCT until service Wednesday at the church.

He was the son of the late George Taylor and Carrie Keltner Finn, a WWII veteran and a member of the Center United Methodist Church.

He is survived by the following:
  • One son: Lynn (Laurie) Finn of Center, KY

  • Three daughters: Sherry (Roy) Spencer of Center, KY; Laurie (Barry Dean) Steele of Knob Lick, KY; and Gail (Scotty) Harris of Edmonton, KY

  • One brother: Murry Finn

  • And one sister: Bernice Wood both of Campbellsville, KY

  • Seven grandchildren

  • Six great grandchildren
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Allene Shirley Finn, two brothers Arvid and Eddie Finn; and one sister Virginia Phelps of Columbia, KY.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
