Wendell Floyd Shaw, 67, Edmonton, KY (d. Sept. 29, 2012)

He was the patriarch of a large, respected Metcalfe County, KY, family. He leaves 10 direct living descendants. He was the son of the late Rollin and Annie Shaw, a Vietnam veteran, and a member of the Cedar Flat Cumberland Presbyterian Church

Wendell Floyd Shaw age 67 of Edmonton died Saturday, September 29, 2012 at his home.

Funeral services will be 1pmCT, Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at the Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Missionary Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be 2pm-8pmCT, Monday, October 1, 2012, at the funeral home.



He was the son of the late Rollin and Annie Shaw, a Vietnam veteran, and a member of the Cedar Flat Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Shaw of Edmonton, KY, and the following:
  • Two daughters: Julie (Marty) Harper of Edmonton, KY; and Amy (Mike) Irwin of Glasgow, KY

  • Two sons: Jared Shaw of Edmonton, KY; and Andy (Heather) Shaw of Summer Shade, KY

  • One brother: Danny (Gaye) Shaw of Edmonton, KY

  • Father and mother in law Stanley and Lourene Syra of Edmonton, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Louren and Leah Harper, Caleb and Mattie Anderson, Gabe and Audrey Shaw
Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
