ADAIR Band takes Grand Champion at Lincoln Days Grand Champions! By Shamarie Claiborne The ADAIR Band turned in another awesome performance today and are the Grand Champions for the Lincoln Days Marching Band Festival in Hodgenville, KY. The band was also the Best Overall Band in 3A, had the Best Percussion in 3A, and took first place in 3A. It was a super day for Columbia, KY, with a stellar performance by the Lindsey Wilson Marching Band, in exhibition, whose director is Mr. Tim Allen. The host band, the LaRue County, under the direction of Adair Countian Jaime Smith gave a rousing performance, too. Neighbor Russell County High School won reserve Grand Champion and other awards. Right now, as I send this, a very excited ADAIR Band is ready to take the field to give the sole encore performance, an honor reserved for the Grand Champions. We're so proud of them all! - Shamarie Claiborne. This story was posted on 2012-09-29 19:11:51
