LWC/Scottsville Campus honored for aiding Allen Co., KY growth Campus recognized as Entrepreneur Champion and given Entrepreneur of the Year Award Click on headline for story with photo(s) By Duane Bonifer News from Lindsey Wilson College SCOTTSVILLE, KY - The Lindsey Wilson College-Scottsville Campus was recognized Tuesday night by the Scottsville-Allen County Industrial Development Authority for its role in promoting growth in the southern Kentucky county. The LWC-Scottsville Campus was recognized as an "Entrepreneur Champion" for its work with local businesses. The campus was presented the award at the inaugural Scottsville-Allen County Year of Business Awards Banquet, held at the YMCA of Scottsville Kentucky and Allen County. And then the LWC-Scottsville Campus presented its inaugural Entrepreneur of the Year Award. The award was presented to Tommy Rhodes, executive director of Barefoot Republic Camp. Headquartered in Franklin, Tenn., the nonprofit operates a camp for youth outside of Scottsville that "seeks to celebrate diversity and build unity through a diverse platform of artistic, athletic and action adventure programs." - Duane Bonifer, Lindsey Wilson College This story was posted on 2012-09-26 05:13:13
