He was a member of a respected Russell County, KY, family. He leaves two direct living descendants. He was a factory worker in the automotive industry and was a member of the Clear Springs Baptist Church

Waltr Lee West, Jr., 54, Russell Springs, KY, died Thursday, September 20, 2012, at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

The funeral service will be at 1pmCT, Tuesday, September 25, 2012, at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Rick Neff the officiating clergy. Special music will be by Larry and Marcia Skaggs, and Lianna McQueary. Visitation will be after 10:30amCT, Tuesday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bernard Cemetery, Russell County, KY.



He was a factory worker in the automotive industry and was a member of the Clear Springs Baptist Church.

Walter Lee West, Jr. Russell Co., KY (1958-2012)

He was born March 7, 1958, in Franklin, Johnson County, Indiana. He was the son of Diana Selke Rexroat and the late Walter Lee West, Sr. He died Thursday, September 20, 2012, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 54 years, 6 months, and 13 days.

He is survived by the following:
  • Two children: Amber Leeann Richards, Georgia; and Adam Jay Richards, Air Force

  • Mother and step father: Diana and Donald Rexroat, Russell Springs, KY

  • Three brothers: William Dwayne West, Frankfort, KY; and James Dale West and Eric (Sherry) West, both of Russell Springs, KY
He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Alan West. The family requests memorials be made to Walter Lee West, Jr., Memorial fund. These can be made at the funeral home.

Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
