Emergency response drill scheduled for September 27, 2012

The Adair County School District will be conducting an emergency earthquake/fire drill test exercise at Adair County Middle School, 322 Gen. John Adair Drive, and the band facility starting at around 8amCT, on Thursday, September 27, 2012. This drill will be held in partnership with the Adair County Emergency Management Director, Greg Thomas, and emergency community responders.



The objective of this test exercise is to practice school and community emergency response procedures. During the time of the drill, 8am-9:30amCT. No one will be allowed into the Adair Middle School campus area while school personnel, students and emergency responders work through this exercise.

Please don't be alarmed when you see emergency vehicles (fire, ambulance, police, Air Evac) at the Adair Middle School during this practice exercise on the morning of Thursday, September 27, 2012. This is only a practice drill.

At the end of the practice emergency response exercise, school personnel and emergency responders will evaluate and discuss ways to improve school and community emergency response procedures. Thank you to school personnel and community responders who continually strive to enhance student safety.
