Special ColumbiaMagazine.com sports story

The Adair County Indians tied with Champion Taylor County with a score of 313. However, it had been determined that a tie would be settled by the 5th man's individual score which placed the tribe on the short end of the stick.

Riley Grant earned the honors of Conference Champ with a terrific round of 74. Alex Durham took home runner-up honors with a score of 76. Daniel Rarey's 80, Trey Garmon's 83, and Korey Hundley's 93 rounded out the scoring for the tribe.

Coach's Comment: We came up one shot short today. Riley was terrific today and Alex played solidly but we were not able to put 4 scores in the 70's. In order to beat quality teams, you have to be able to play in the 70's as a team and we were not able to do that today. Our kids battled to the very end. We just didn't play our best golf today and it cost us. - Coach Burton

Next Match The Adair County Boys Golf Team, at Glasgow Country Club, 350 Country Club Road., Glasgow, KY. Tee time approximately 4pmCT, Wednesday, September 12, 2012. - Coach Steve Burton
