Adair Girls Golf team faced 2 of best teams in state at Heartland Ashley Goodin named to the All Heartland Conference team leads the Lady Indians with a round of 81. ACHS team finishes 3rd in Heartland Conference Tournament at Lincoln Homestead Golf Course in Springfield, KY facing a couple of the best golf teams in the state -- Green Co. and Taylor Co. By Kim Goodin, Adair County High School Girls Golf Coach Special CM Sports Story The Girls Golf Team placed 3rd in the Heartland Conference Tournament on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Lincoln Homestead State Park in Springfield KY shooting a 406. Green Co. took 1st place just after coming off a Class A Championship on the same course this past weekend. They defeated Taylor Co.after having to use the fifth golfers score to break a tie by a score of 327 to 328. Individual honors in girls went to Ellen Kehoe of Taylor Co. shooting a 3 under 69. Adair County's Ashley Goodin placed fourth with an 81 and made the All Heartland Team. Other scores for Adair Co. were Rachel Phipps with a 102, Abby Royse 109, and Hailey Taylor a 114. Coach's Comments: It was a beautiful day for golf. We shot our best 18 hole team score of the season with a 406. We are proud of Ashley Goodin for making the All Heartland Golf team.
