LWC Women's Golf 3rd after 1st Round at London, KY News from Lindsey Wilson College LONDON, KY - The Lindsey Wilson College women's golf team opened its 2012-13 season today with a 330 at the Bill Sergent Invitational hosted by University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) at Crooked Creek Golf Club, 781 Crooked Creek Drive, London, KY. The final round is scheduled for Friday morning, September 7, at Crooked Creek. The Blue Raiders sit in third place at the midway point of the two-day event. Lindsey Wilson trails leader and host Cumberlands (303) by 27 strokes and second-place Lee (Tenn.) University (313) by 17 strokes in the eight-team field. The final round is scheduled for Friday morning, September 7, at Crooked Creek. Lindsey Wilson junior Sara Koizumi shot a team-best 4-over par 77 today over the par-73 layout. She concluded her first round as a Blue Raider with four birdies, including a birdie on the closing 496-yard, par-5 18th hole. Koizumi is tied for fifth overall in the 46-woman field. She trails Cumberlands' Liz Stephens -- the first round leader -- by eight shots. Stephens carded a 4-under par 69 on Thursday, September 6, 2012. Lindsey Wilson senior Jennifer MacKinnon is just outside the top-10 in 11th with an 81. While MacKinnon did not record a birdie in her opening 18 holes, she managed to maneuver the difficult Crooked Creek course without posting a big number -- double bogey or worse. Lindsey Wilson's Candace Stacy is in 16th place after carding an 84 while Kelsey Joslyn is 25th following an 88. Amy Brown -- who is tied for 26th -- rounds out the Blue Raider squad with an 89.
