Plum Point Baptist Bug Run for Mary's House is Sept 15, 2012 Big Bike fundraiser has been rescheduled for one week later, to September 15, 2012, than originally planned, but other details remain the same, with ride leaving from Rex's Cycle and ending at Plum Point Baptist on what is believed will be a perfect fall day. By Ludora Perkins News from Plum Point Baptist Church Plum Point Baptist Church's Bug Run for Mary's House has been rescheduled for Saturday, September 15, 2012, because of expected rain on the original date, September 8, 2012. The signups for the motorcycle ride will be at Rex's Cycle Shop, 1341 Campbellsville Road, Columbia, KY, at 10amCT, Saturday, September 15. The ride will begin at 11amCT. The entrance fee is $15.00. Roger Burton will be the leader of the ride of about 60-70 miles, 2-3 hours, ending at Plum Point Baptist Church, 6107 Knifley Road (Bing Map/Directions from Anywhere in the World), Columbia, KY, where a lunch, furnished by the church and supervised by Billy Rice and Dannie Brockman, will be waiting. There will be a small auction, and prizes for some of the riders will be handed out. Everyone is invited to be waiting for the bikers to return to the church from the ride, and to meet Mary McGuffin and her seven children, Alex, Andrew, Dustin, Nikii, Robert, Ronnie, and Terry McGuffin. The Mary's House project, to provide a house for the family after their own burned earlier this year, is now in the first stages of construction at 550 Beech Top Road, Columbia, KY. - Ludora Perkins This story was posted on 2012-09-07 04:19:58
