Photography workshop at Saturday's Homeplace Fall Festival

Very popular photography workshop with David Goguen will be offered again this year at the Homeplace on Green River Fall Heritage Festival, this Saturday, September 8, 2012

By George Kolbenschlag

Saturday's Home Place on Green River Fall Heritage Festival will offer a variety of activities, rides, exhibits and demonstrations for the whole family. Included will be a photography workshop offered by David Goguen, associate professor of journalism at Lindsey Wilson College. Goguen offered a similar workshop at the June tractor show at Homeplace that was very well received. The festival will get underway at 9amET/8amCT and shut down at 5pmET/4pmCT.

The photo workshop is open to everyone and there is no charge. Those interested should assemble at the Homeplace homestead no later than 10amET/9amCT. The workshop will last about two hours.

Goguen will offer instruction, then those attending will spend time taking photos during the festival which will be evaluated by the group. The only requirement is to bring your own camera. While digital cameras will offer the opportunity to review/critique photos taken during the workshop, if a film camera is all you have, that will work also.

Homeplace is located on highway 55 five miles south of Campbellsville and four miles north of the Adair/Taylor county line. The address is 5807 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville 42718. --George Kolbenschlag
