Glen Breeding Duck No. 74 wins fast Wacky Quacky Duck race

The Glen Breeding entry, Duck Number 74, crossed the finish line in the exciting Sixth Annual Wacky, Quacky Duck Race, Adair County's premier event, Labor Day, Monday, September 3, 2012 held, for the second year in a row, on Butler Branch at the junction of KY 551/Knifley Road and Pelly Lane.

Number 74 finished in 8 minutes and 7 seconds, according to official time keeper Charles Grimsley. The win netted Breeding the Grand Prize, an Apple iPad.

Second place went to Donna Bryant, whose entry No. 245 made her the winner of the gas grill.

Third Place went to Mike Collins' No. 201, good for a $100 Gas Card.

The race is run under the auspices of The Columbia/Adair County Parks & Recreation Board. - Greg Thomas

One Duck over the line: Down, but a top prize winner!

A heroic finish: Duck No. 74 crossed the finish line on its side, but still won the 1st Place Prize, an Apple iPad, for owner Glen Breeding, in the Sixth Annual Wacky, Quacky Duck Race, run for the second year in a row on the swift waters of Butler Branch. Second place and a gas grill went to Donna Bryant, with entry No. 245; Mike Collins Duck No. 201 took third place and a $100 gas card. The race is held every Labor Day, sponsored by the Columbia/Adair County Parks and Recreation Board.
