Columbia, KY welcomes Mark Twain Marching Band Exhibition!

Today, all roads lead to the Adair County High School Football Stadium, 623 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY. It's the biggest event of the Year in Music. The community is poised to host thousands of visitors. It starts at 4pmCT, but visitors will be arriving much earlier. Special traffic patterns will make the traffic flow smoothly. Spectators enter from Greensburg Street, bands from the Adair County Veterans Memorial Bypass.

News from the Mark Twain Marching Band Exhibition

The Mark Twain Marching Band Exhibition is today, hosted by the Adair County Band, the event gets underway with the first performance at 4pmCT at the ACHS Football Stadium, 623 Indian Drive.

We know all of Adair County joins us in welcoming these outstanding bands from most of the top communities in Kentucky - and all their supporters.
  • From Burkesville, KY - Cumberland County (Class A)
  • From Corbin, KY - Corbin High School (Class AAA)
  • From Edmonton, KY - Metcalfe County (Class A)
  • From Campbellsville, KY - Campbellsville (Class A)
  • From Covington, KY - Covington Holmes (Class AAA)
  • From Campbellsville, KY - Taylor County (Class AAA)
  • From Russell Springs, KY - Russell County (Class AAA)
  • From Hodgenville, KY - Larue County (Class AA)
  • From Somerset, KY - Pulaski County (Class AAAA)
  • From Bardstown, KY - Nelson County (Class AAAA)
  • From Lawrenceburg, KY - Anderson County (Class AAAA),
  • From Leitchfield, KY - Grayson County (Class AAAAA)
  • From Middletown, KY - Eastern High School (Class AAAAA)
  • From Glasgow, KY - Barren County (Class AAAAA)
The Adair County Band (Class AAA) will perform at 8pmCT debuting their new uniforms.

At 8:15pmCT the LWC Blue Raider Band will perform.

Admission is $8.00. Spectators are asked to enter the school campus at the Greensburg Street/Indian Drive entrance.

The public is invited to come see some of the area's finest Bands perform in this pre-season marching exhibition. --Teresa Bright

Some estimate the total coming to Columbia today
for the 2012 Mark Twain Marching Band Exhibition to be 5-10,000. The stands of the Adair County High School Football Stadium were beginning to fill with eager marching band fans! Above, Grayson County fans have staked out a prime spot to enjoy the event. Mark Twain Marching Band Festival began today, Saturday, August 25, 2012, at 4pmCT The award winning Adair County Band will perform at 8pmCT.
