Victoria Pike continuing Hospital Tax Recall petition

By Victoria Pike
Personal commentary and announcement

The committee to recall the hospital tax will be setting up once again this weekend at the corner of Burkesville Road and Edmonton Road across from Walmart in front of my property for those who haven't had a chance to sign a petition or need to bring their petitions in. We will be there 3pm-6pmCT, Friday, August 24, and 10:30am-3pmCT Saturday, August 25, 2012.

We would like to have as many as possible back this weekend or by Tuesday August 28, 2012 We need to bind these together by precinct and verify the names on them before turning them in by September 4, 2012. You may continue with your petition if you need to but please bring in what you have and use new petition sheets to finish up. We can add those on once we get the most finished.

Thank you to all the wonderful people who have taken part in petition drive which will allow every registered voter the opportunity to vote on this tax whether they are for or against it. It is all part of the democratic process. That is what this has all been about, letting the people decide not elected officials or special district boards but the people who are actually paying the tax.

Thank you, Committee to recall hospital tax - Victoria Pike
