Comment: Totally agrees with Ann on need for prayers for WRH 'There is not a one of us in Adair County who can truthfully say we don't need a hospital here, because you never know when we might need treatment there for one reason or another. We need the hospital here for when minutes (no seconds) in getting to treatment could mean the difference between life and death. By Richard Raines Personal commentary I totally agree with Ann (Judge Melton's) request for prayer about the situation of our hospital. We have seen numerous problems come up in our county over the years that couldn't be solved without God's intervention, but with His help, the problems were worked through. I know there are quite a few people in Adair County who know how to get hold of God though prayer. There are a lot of us who live in outlying parts of Adair County who actually live closer to hospitals in surrounding counties or who normally use doctors (or other health care providers) outside of the county for whatever reason (maybe a provider we've used for years or a specialist) but there are also a lot of people from surrounding counties who use Adair county health care providers or the hospital here. Even with all this, there is not a one of us in Adair County who can truthfully say we don't need a hospital here, because you never know when we might need treatment there for one reason or another. We need the hospital here for when minutes (no seconds) in getting to treatment could mean the difference between life and death. Also, consider if we no longer have a hospital here, there are people who are going to be out of jobs - our friends, neighbors, and relatives, also we can expect to see a "domino effect" with other health care providers besides hospital employees having to go elsewhere to find jobs because the facilities/equipment they need to do their job is no longer available in our county. No matter how many people think they have the answer, remember this prayer request, because God knows what we need (even though it may not be what we want) and he alone knows how to take care of the situation. - Richard Raines Comments re article 53899 Judge Melton asks for prayers of community This story was posted on 2012-08-21 05:24:41
