Victoria Pike's behind-the-scenes clarifications on SBDM story Victoria Pike arrived early for the big event of August 20, 2012, allegedly because of a rare wrong time in the CM Events page. But the early arrival was a fortuitous act of Providence - almost meant to be. She was there for the tractor and Farm Equipment Parade, she was shown the matchless hospitality of the Ag Department with a VIP tour of the ag facilities, hosted by John Marshall Shelley and Kirby Hancock, and still worked in a call to CM to triumphantly announce that we had the time wrong - and had better fix it quick. We did and apologize. She was so impressed with the ag department she was longing for a second chance to learn from the experts, even though, she said, she appreciated the ag she's learned from her neighbors at Bliss. -EW By Victoria Pike News from the Committee To finish your report, here are the ones who spoke that I wrote down for media types needing special assistance - you, for instance: Kirby Hancock, David Herbst, Elmer George, Todd Spaulding, Tommy Grider, Greg Corbin, Billy Rowe, Tim Baker, Debra Wimmer, Danny Wilkinson, Recc employee, and a black-haired lady that I didn't get her name. Kirby (Hancock) spoke last and was very passionate about asking for them to work with him. Debra (Wimmer) was the one wanting the music program and didn't get a round of applause like the rest. Elmer (George, Lebanon, KY attorney) said he had been asked to speak on behalf of Stotts, Dykes, and the Hatchers. Not sure who Todd (Spalding), Lebanon, KY attorney, was speaking for - same group or others just said local farmer - I think. I had my notes at the house. Sorry I held the story up. Next time tell me you are leaving me in charge. Out, Greater Bliss Bureau Chief Miz Victoria - Victoria Pike Thanks, Victoria Pike: - Wouldn't have been able to put the story together without your help. -Ed This story was posted on 2012-08-21 04:55:36
