News from the Adair County Garden Club

The ACGC at 1pmCT, Thursday August 23, 2012, for "Growing and Cooking with Garlic" presented by the Adair County Garden Club, in basement of the Columbia Adair Chamber of Commerce, 201 Burkesville Street, Columbia, KY. Everyone is invited to attend. Early registration is recommended. Class tuition is $5.00 for active ACGC members and $10.00 for non members. To register please contact Barbara Armitage at 270-250-2979. Members of the Adair County Garden Club may not have all the answers to your problems but would you settle for one that is good for your heart, can lower your cholesterol, help you fight off the common cold and keep vampires out of your kitchen?

September is the time to plant garlic in your garden. .

Students will receive garlic for planting as well as an opportunity to taste delishious garlic dishes made with over 120 cloves of garlic. So what's a little bad breath among friends?

The Garden Club meets at 1:00 Central time on the 4th Thursday of each month in a variety of locations. Each meeting is designed to expand your knowledge of gardening techniques, landscape ideas, environmental issues, natural resources, birds, wildlife and more.

There are no fees or dues to be a member of the Garden Club and everyone is welcome.

We are committed to making Adair County a more beautiful, safer and healthier place to live. Adair County Garden Club members take pride in our community and invite you join us and make a difference.
