Ken and Lynda Wilkerson support three Ag teaching positions By Ken and Lynda Wilkerson As life long Adair County residents who live on a farm in the New Concord Community and operate a local business, we are voicing our support to keep the current three teaching positions in the Adair County School System agricultural Program. Wendell Berry said it rather well when he stated, "Good farmers who take seriously their duties as stewards of Creation and of their land's inheritors, contribute to the welfare of society in more ways than society usually acknowledges, or even knows. These farmers produce valuable goods of course, but they also conserve soil, they conserve water, they conserve wildlife, they conserve open spaces, they conserve scenery."We agree with Mr. Berry, AG teaches our youth to be good stewards of the Earth. What more could we ask of any class? Respectfully, - Ken and Lynda Wilkerson This story was posted on 2012-08-18 10:14:31
