Jamey Hayes voices support for third agriculture teacher

'Not all students are going to have the opportunity or desire to go to college. . . FFA helps to turn these children into hardworking adults. In these hard economic times many students who go on to college are graduating and not finding employment, such skills would also be of value to them in filling that void' - JAMEY HAYES

As a life long resident and farm owner here in Adair County I would like to take this opportunity to voice my support for keeping the third agricultural teacher in the FFA program.

FFA is an asset to the curriculum at the Adair County High School. These students learn things that they can fall back on later in life.

Not all students are going to have the opportunity or desire to go to college.

Things they learn such as small engine and welding through their affiliation with the FFA could be an avenue to gainful employment later on.

In essence, FFA helps to turn these children into hardworking adults. In these hard economic times many students who go on to college are graduating and not finding employment, such skills would also be of value to them in filling that void.

I think the great outpouring of community support speaks volumes to the importance of this organization to this agricultural community.

As the father of a former FFA member and the uncle of a current FFA student I ask you to support our Adair County FFA Chapter. - Jamey Hayes
