Barbara June Martin passed away Monday, August 13, 2012 at her home in Casey County.

Funeral services are 11amET/10amCT, Thursday August 16, 2012 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Jeff Edwards officiating. Burial is at Whited Cemetery. Visitation is 6pm-8pmET/5pm-7pmCT, Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at the funeral home.



Barbara June Martin, Casey County, KY (1932-2012)

Barbara June Martin was born September 3, 1932 in Letcher County , KY. She was the daughter of the late Sam and Ollie Bentley Wright. She died Monday, August 13, 2012, in Casey County, KY, at the age of 79 years, 21 days.

She was the widow of Russell Martin.

Survivors include the following:
  • Five sons: Robert R. Martin of Liberty, KY; Arnold D. Martin of Letcher County, KY; Billy Wayne Martin of Liberty, KY; and Bruce Martin and Russell Martin, Jr. both of Virginia

  • Three daughters: Carolyn Sue Cornett and Patricia Fox both of Letcher County, KY; and Flora June Martin of Bradfordsville, KY

  • Twenty-four grandchildren

  • Twenty-five great grandchildren

  • A brother: Jack Wright of Tennessee
In addition to her parent and husband, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Lenora Jane Martin; a grandchild; and several brothers and sisters.
