News from Mary's House

Yes, indeed, God's amazing grace has been at work through Mary's House! A sincere, heartfelt thank you goes out to all of you who have contributed to this worthwhile project.

Because of the generosity of our own Adair Countians, residents of surrounding counties, and residents of faraway states, we were able to bank well over $41,000 in approximately six weeks!

Mary and the children thank you from the bottom of their hearts. The committee wishes to express their genuine appreciation for all your positive comments and strong support.

Groundbreaking is Thursday evening, August 16, 2012

The public is invited to the groundbreaking of Mary's House located across from 550 Beechtop Road, Columbia, KY, at 6pmCT, Thursday evening, August 16, 2012. We hope to have the footers poured in about two weeks. You will be kept updated on the progress of the building project. An open house is in the future as the committee wants the public to see how their money was spent.

A special thank you

A special thank you is reserved for Ed Waggener and Columbia Magazine. Ed was on board for Mary's House from day one! People were able to see immediate up-dated figures each day and monitor the progress of our project.

There was no specific fundraiser planned - only disclosing the facts of the tragedy and the plan to raise $40,000 and build a house for Mary and the children.

Thank you, Ed, for your authentic enthusiasm and your ability to help us unite the community in an effort to become the hands and feet of Jesus. - Fran Neat, 270-250-1510, grannafranna@windstream.net
