The girls golf team bounced back from a tough weekend by defeating Metcalfe Co at Kentucky Hills Golf Course, 6198 Randolph Summer Shade Rd Summer Shade, KY.

Our entire team came through, Monday, August 6, posting at or better than their average. Ashley Goodin 38, Rachel Phipps 47, Abby Royse 48, Hailey Taylor 55, Lauren McQuaide 60, Madison Bell 64. Metcalfe Co.'s Madison Isenberg led her team with a 46, Kelly Moss 61, and Kennedy Harbison 62.

We had a rough weekend at the Taylor Co. Invitational on August 4, 2012. I think we have a mental block when we go to that course; plus we endured several delays for storms. A couple of teams finished in darkness; at least we finished in the daylight.

Our team finished 11th out of 12 teams. We shot a 422 for the day. We were led by Ashley Goodin with an 88. She had a devastating start but held her composure and bounced back. Abby Royse, Rachel Phipps, and Hailey Taylor hung in there even in the tough conditions.

Our next match is against Taylor Co. and Campbellsville at The Pines (275 Country Club Road Columbia, KY 42729) on Thursday, August 9, 2012. Tee off should be around 3:30pmCT. - Kim Goodin
