Mary's House: Over 80% of funds raised! Just $8,007 needed!

God is working through this project! The August 1 goal was set with high expectations, and we almost made it in time! From July 20 to July 29, you donated over $10,000. Our local churches have boosted our efforts tremendously and are still sending sizeable donations. The Mary's House Committee wishes to thank each and every one of you so much for taking our project to heart and responding so quickly and with such Christian love. The response from the community and the readership of ColumbiaMagazine.com has been absolutely amazing. Hats off to everyone. Where would we be now without CM readers' help and our faith in the good Lord! Thank you, Ed. To those of you who are still interested in giving, please do so. The building project will not begin until we have reached and banked the entire $40,000. We are still short approximately $8,000. Extra money received will be deposited and kept for future building expenses; and, if not needed in that area, can definitely be applied towards the purchase of appliances and/or furniture. The building of Mary's House is going to happen. It is not too late to come "on board" to help this beautiful family. If 400 people gave $20, our goal would be met. - Fran Here's how you can help - please don't wait! - Mary's House: the story and the contacts: Cane Valley Christian Church, along with a group of concerned citizens, is raising money to build a new house for Mary McGuffin, a single, working mother with seven children, whose house recently burned. All donations will be escrowed until 100% of the funds are raised. Land and labor have already been donated. Checks are to be made to Cane Valley Christian Church Benevolence Fund with a memo of "Mary's House." Please make all donations by August 1 so that construction can begin.
