ACHS Girls' golf loses at The Pines to Casey Co. by 11 strokes Adair scores: were Ashley Goodin 40, Rachel Phipps 49, Abby Royse 55, Madison Bell 60, Hailey Taylor 66, Lauren McQuaide 80. Click on headline for story w/photo(s) By Coach Kim Goodin News from Adair County High School Girls Golf We had hoped to play better on our home course but our team is still figuring itself out. We are young in our 4, 5, & 6 spots and experience definitely matters in golf and they will get better. Our three older girls (even though scores may not reflect it yet) are playing more focused in the round than I have seen in the past. Unfortunately, as coaches we feel they aren't putting in the extra time practicing needed to be performing well early. Golf is a tough game and it takes monumental practice to be a good player much less a great player. Next up for the girls is the Taylor Co. Invitational at Campbellsville Country Club, 3064 Hodgenville Road, Campbellsville, KY, on Saturday, August 4, 2012. Hailey Taylor will tee off at 12:09pmCT, Rachel Phipps at 12:18pmCT, Abby Royse at 12:27pmCT, and Ashley Goodin @ 12:36pmCT. All girls will be going off #10 tee . They are paired with Lexington Christian and Allen Co.-Scottsville. This story was posted on 2012-08-03 02:53:55
