Mr. Charles McCarty, Taylor County, KY (1937-2012)

He was a member of a highly regarded Campbellsville, KY, family. He leaves 11 direct living descendants. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Lowell Avenue Baptist Church.He was owner and operator of Druther's Restaurant in Campbellsville

Charles McCarty of Campbellsville, son of the late John Gordon McCarty and Ada Dell Golden McCarty, was born in Nicholas County, Kentucky, July 10, 1937. He died at 6:19 A.M., Monday, July 30, 2012, in Campbellsville. Age: 75

Funeral services are at 2pmET/1pmCT, Thursday, August 2, 2012 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Larry Koch. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation is 5pm-8pmET/4pm-7pmCT, Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.



Pallbearers: Bennie Curry, Tom Gupton, Sean McCarty, Brandon Milby, Donnie Osborne, and Dale Thornton.

Mr. Charles McCarty, Taylor County, KY (1937-2012)

Charles McCarty was the son of the late John Gordon McCarty and Ada Dell Golden McCarty. He was born in Nicholas County, KY, Tuesday, July 10, 1937. He died Monday, July 30, 2012, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 75 years, 20 days

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Lowell Avenue Baptist Church.He was owner and operator of Druther's Restaurant in Campbellsville.

He united in marriage to Joanna Chaney May 7, 1957.

Besides his wife, Joanna McCarty, he is survived by the following:
  • Two sons and one daughter: Rick L. McCarty and wife, Jen of Winchester, Tennessee: and Kathy Clark and husband, Greg and Steve McCarty and wife, Roxann, all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Rick L. McCarty, Jr. and wife, Rayna, Beth Clark and husband, Brandon Milby, Jonathan McCarty, Stephanie McCarty, Makenzie McCarty and Sean McCarty

  • Two great grandchildren: Mya McCarty and Myles McCarty

  • Two sisters: Dollie Lyons of Carlisle, KY; and Mary Peratt of Flemingsburg, KY

  • One sister-in-law, Jewell McCarty of Carlisle, KY

  • Special family member: Debbie Bennett of Memphis, Tennessee

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends
He was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister: William McCarty, Arlie McCarty and Nancye Davis.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be donations to Lowell Avenue Baptist Churhc and may be made at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
