Cocanougher reunion held at Perryville Community Center By Mike Crain The 37th annual Cocanougher Reunion was held Sunday, July 29, 2012 at The Perryville Community Center. About 55 people attended. A bountiful potluck meal, sharing of announcements, genealogy, picture taking, talking, fun, games, hugs, kisses, story telling, meeting new folks and greeting old friends and family, prayer requests, and a few tall tells were among the highlights of the day. The one travelling the furthest was Sarah Lovett of Puyallup, WA. All the remainder were from at least 14 different Kentucky communities. The two oldest were Ann Hope Settles 90 of Danville and Mary Frances Holderman 89 of Springfield. The youngest was adorable and friendly 10 month old Alexander Higdon of Springfield. Those who registered were from Puyallup, Washington - Sarah Lovett and Kentucky communities of FRANKFORT - Mary A. Hines; SHELBYVILLE - Esther (Hatchett) Money & Michael Money; NEW HAVEN -John & Mary Kathryn (Crain) Locklin; LEBANON - Judy Carol Averitt; LEXINGTON - George & Ruth Ann (Hatchett) Duncan and Mike Crain; PARKSVILLE - John Cocanougher; LAWRENCEBURG - Pamela & Ellis Chaples and Mackenzie Morrison; SCOTTSVILLE - Ty & Scotty (Cocanougher) Clenney; NICHOLASVILLE - Matt & Celeste (Duncan) Moore; HARRODSBURG - Larry and June (Kays) Ison; PERRYVILLE - Denny & Joanne Cocanougher and Norma Coyle Glasscock ; LOUISVILLE - Bill Hardin and Linda Sparks; DANVILLE - George & Peggy White, Martha Jetts, Bill & Beulah (Cocanougher) Jones, Debbie Lowe, Stewart & Pat Cocanougher, David Hardin, Ann Hope E. Thanks to all who attended, won prizes at the game "Who Has It?", and helped make this a great event for our family. 2013 Reunion will be held at hopefully a larger venue in Perryville KY on the last Sunday of July thus July 28, 2013.
