Daisy Marie Miller, Casey Co., KY (1930-2012)

She was the matriarch of a large, highly regarded Casey County, KY family. She leaves 77 direct living descendants. She was a homemaker and member of the Liberty First Baptist Church. She was a former Sunday school teacher, choir member, and prayer warrior during Judgment House

Daisy Marie Miller went home to meet her Lord Saturday July 28, 2012 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY. She was 82.

Funeral services will be at 10amET/9amCT, Tuesday July 31, 2012 at the Liberty First Baptist Church, 300 Hustonville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Richard Easterling and Bro. Jimmy Brown. Burial is at Casey County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6pm-9pmET/5pm-8pmCT, Monday, July 30, 2012, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, and Tuesday at the Liberty First Baptist Church from 8amET/7pmCT until funeral service.



Daisy Marie Miller, Casey Co., KY (1930-2012)

Born Monday, February 24, 1930 in Casey County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Robert F. and Lela Bell Allen Johnson. She died Saturday, July 28, 2012, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 82 years, 5 months, and 4 days.

She was a homemaker and member of the Liberty First Baptist Church. She was a former Sunday school teacher, choir member, and prayer warrior during Judgment House.

Mrs. Daisy Miller is the widow of William Earl Miller.

Survivors include the following:
  • Sons: Randy (Mary) Miller of Ft. Wayne, IN and Mike Miller of Hustonville, KY.; daughters, Frances Miller Price of Middleburg, KY; Ina Faye Miller (John) Price of Danville, KY; Wilma Miller (Gary) Noel of Danville, KY; Kathy Miller Goode of Liberty, KY

  • Twenty-three grandchildren

  • Forty-one great grandchildren

  • Seven great great grandchildren;

  • Brothers: Larry (Annetta) Johnson of Hope , IN; Melvin (Lucille) Johnson of Liberty, KY; and Lilburn (Chris ) Johnson of Campbellsville, KY

  • Sisters: Wanda Sanders of Liberty, KY; Edith Campbell of Campbellsville, KY; Shirley Cox of Hope, IN; and Shelby (Albert ) Swafford of Tennessee
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, William Jerry Miller; daughters, Carolyn Mae Filburn and Gracie Marie Black; son-in-law, Jackie Price; brother, Wayne Johnson; sisters, Phyllis Cox and Louise Parker, two grandchildren and a great grandchild.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY. Sign guest book for the family of Daisy Marie Miller

In lieu of flowers, donation may be given to Bluegrass Hospice or Liberty First Baptist Church.
