Betty Melson Vitrano, 72, of Columbia, KY, died Friday, July 20, 2012 at 9:23amCT, in the Cundiff communityin Adair County, KY.

Funeral services will be Sunday, July 22, 2012 at 1pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Stanley Watson officiating. Burial will be in Shearer Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Saturday, July 21, 2012, at the funeral home.



Casket bearers: Tommy Melson, Joey Miller, Wesley Melson, Ritchie Melson, T.J. Melson, AdamMelson, Tony Grant & Matt Melson.

She was born December 6, 1939, in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Russell and Lela Shearer Melson. She was a beautician.

Survivors include the following:
  • One son: Lt. Col. Michael A. Vitrano (Beth) of Tennessee

  • One daughter: Donna Vitrano Gutierrez (Juan) of Tennessee

  • Two brothers: Creon Melson of Cundiff & Jimmy Melson of Jamestown, KY

  • One sister: Rema Ramloui of California

  • Seven grandchildren

  • One great grandchild

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests expressions of sympathy be in the form of a donation to theShearer Cemetery. These may be left at the funeral home.
