Phyllis Burton, 71, Voils Circle, Russell Springs, KY, died Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at the Russell County Hospital, in Russell Springs, KY..

The funeral will be at 1pmCT, Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Rev. Mark Hale and Rev. Bodie Emerson officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery in Russell County, KY. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Friday, at Bernard Funeral Home.


Pallbearers: Kevin Stephens, Jeremy Burton, Brian Stephens, Adam Black, Jamison Cooper, and Matt Weddle.

She was born March 2, 1941, in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Thelma Holt Luttrell and the late Arnett Luttrell. She died Wednesday, July 18, 2012, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 71 years, 4 months, and 16 days.

She was a seamstress at Fruit of the Loom and a member of the Mt. Eden United Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Dean Burton, and a son, Ricky Lee Burton.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons: Timmy Burton, Russell Springs, KY; and Jacky (Wendy) Burton, Jamestown, KY

  • Three daughters: Deanna (Larry) Holt; and Melinda (Paul) Milby, both of Russell Springs, KY; and Jarita (Wayne) Cain, Franklin, TN

  • A sister in law: Avis McLean, Columbia, KY.
  • Seven grandchildren

  • One great grandchild

  • Two brothers: Donald (Lillian) Luttrell; and Ronnie (Oleta) Luttrell, both of Russell Springs, KY
  • Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
