Henry Wayne Haire, 62, Munfordville, KY (d. July 12, 2012)

He was employed by DART Container in Horse Cave, Hart Co., KY. Services and interment will be in Metcalfe County, KY. He was the son fo the late James and Lorene Fisher Haire and was the patriarch of a large family. Besides his wife, he leaves five direct living descendants and 17 step descendants

Henry Wayne Haire age 62 of Munfordville died Thursday July 12, 2012 at the Caverna Hospital in Horse Cave.

Funeral services will be 2pmCT, Sunday, July 15, 2012, at the Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Locust Grove Cemetery, Knob Lick, Metcalfe County, KY. Visitation will be Saturday 4pm-8pmCT, at the funeral home.



He was the son of the late James and Lorene Fisher Haire and was employed at DART Container in Horse Cave.

He was survived by his wife Karen Haire of Munfordville, KY, and the following:
  • One son: Douglas Wayne Haire of Park City, KY

  • One daughter: Ruthie (Donald) Gray of Glasgow, KY

  • One brother: Bobby Haire of Glasgow, KY

  • Two sisters: Ruthie Goodhew and Debra Haire both of Bowling Green, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Larissa Haire of Cave City, KY: and Brooklyn Gray of Glasgow, KY

  • One great grandchild: Kenley Lutterman of Cave City, KY

  • Three step sons: Brian Abbett of Columbus, IN., Robert Abbett of Brownsville, Matthew Armstrong of Cave City, KY
  • Eight step grandchildren

  • And six step great grandchildren
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his late wife Bonnie Haire, one brother Frank McBride, one sister Betty Perry.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
