Big Friday night at the Adair County Fair starts at 6pmCT

Coca-Cola Talent Contest, Myers International Midways, the Rodeo, Woodcarver, and ATV Extreme competition all part of a packed Friday schedule at the Adair County Fair, Friday, July 13, 2012, starting at 6pmCT

The Adair County Fair's Friday night card gets underway shortly, at 6pmCT, when the Coca-Cola Talent Contest opens in the Pavillion, and, as happens each evening, Myers International Midways rides will begin at 6pm, with a $10 entry paying for all rides.

The Coca-Cola Talent contest is open to entrants from all counties, in three age groups: 6-12 years old, 13-21 years old, and 22 years and up. There is a $5 entry fee, with 1st, 2nd and third Place Prizes being awarded. Contestants will be performing as vocalist or vocalists, instrumental solos or group, dance solo and ensemble categories, acrobatics/gymnastic solo or group, or variety acts. Billy Pickett is in charge of this event.At 7pmCT, the Serbra Bulls & Barrels Show - the big rodeo show will begin, on the main track. Winston Keltner is in charge of this event for the Fair Board. The rodeo is sponsored by Day & Day Feed and Pet, IMO Pump, First & Farmers National Bank, Bank of Columbia, Tractor Supply, and Community Trust Bank.
At 7:30pmCT the Bear Hollow Wood Shop Wood Carvers show will begin in the Grove.

Also at 7:30pmCT the ATV Extreme Competition will begin in the Back Parking Lot. The competition is for two gave groups: 13-16 year old and 17 year and old division. Thomas Long is in charge of this event for the Adair County Fair Board.On Saturday, July 14, 2012, events start at 9amCT and culminate with the big money $10,000 giveaway.

The Ferris Wheel was ready for Friday's fairgoers, and as usual, dominates the Myers International Midways show, on the infield at the Adair County Fairground. The fair will conclude on Saturday night, July 14, 2012, with a full day of shows and events.
