J.C. Willis age 78 years of the Greensburg Road, Greensburg, KY(the Clay Ridge Community of Adair County), died Thursday July 12, 2012at 4:42pmCT, at the Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room, Columbia, KY, after several weeks illness.

Funeral services will be Sunday, July 15, 2012 at 2pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Dr. Gary Ervin and Rev. Bobby Milburn the officiating clergy.Interment in the Columbia Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. The family request visiting after 3pmCT, on Saturday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

He was born Wednesday, March 7, 1934 in the Keltner Community of Adair County, KYHe was the son of the late Titus Willis and the late Lucy Downey Willis. He died Thursday, July 12, 2012, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 78 years, 4 months, and 5 days.He is survived by his wife Eloise (Lois) Willis of Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • One son: Tracy Willis and wife Donna of Russell Springs, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Trista Lynn Willis and Candise Marie Willis

  • One step grandson: Jonathan Irvin and wife, Ciarra

  • Two nephews: Greg Willis and Kenny Willis and a host of other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Maurice T. Willis and L.C. Willis.

J.C. was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Greensburg, KY and was a retired logger and farmer.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY in charge of arrangements.
