Mrs. Mary Susan "Susie" Elmore of Summersville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Robert E. Rattliff and Mattie Jane Parrott Rattliff, was born on October 15, 1922 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Monday, July 9, 2012 at the Audubon Regional Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was 89 years, eight months and 24 days of age.

The funeral services for Mrs. Susie Elmore will be conducted at 1pmCT, Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 201 S. Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Bloyd-Perkins Cemetery. Bro. Otis Skaggs and Bro. Dannie Nelson will be officiating. Visitation is requested 3pm-9pmCT, Wednesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Thursday until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: Robert Rattliff, Jerry Rattliff, Mark Rattliff, David Wayne Scott, Ira Bloyd, Jr., Eddie Paxton, C.W. VanArsdale, George Elmore, Charlie Elmore, and James H. Elmore.

Mrs. Mary Susan "Susie" Elmore of Summersville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Robert E. Rattliff and Mattie Jane Parrott Rattliff, was born on Sunday, October 15, 1922 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Monday, July 9, 2012 at the Audubon Regional Hospital in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. She was 89 years, 8 months and 24 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Brush Creek Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

She united in marriage to Roman Elmore on November 29, 1941 who preceded her in death on May 13, 2009.

Survivors include the following:
  • A daughter and son-in-law: Jane and Marion Walker of Greensburg, KY

  • A son: Jimmy Elmore of Summersville, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Jeff Walker and his wife Zola of Campbellsville, KY; and Tyler Walker of Glasgow, KY

  • Two great grandchildren: Logan Walker and Landon Walker both of Campbellsville, KY

  • Sisters in law: Barbara Rattliff of Greensburg, KY; and Margaret Elmore of Summersville, KY
  • A special niece: Shirley Durrett of Summersville, KY

  • Two special friends: Brenda Hall of Summersville, KY; and Donnie Ashford of Magnolia, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
Mrs. Elmore was also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters: Jimmy Rattliff, Charlie Rattliff, Robert Rattliff, Hobart Rattliff, Ruby Rattliff, Clellon Rattliff, Betty Milby, and Oma Bloyd.
