She was a native of Keokuk, Iowa and a graduate of Deaconess Nursing School. She had retired after a 40 year career as a Registered Nurse at Deaconess Hospital

Patricia Midkiff, 82, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 5pmET, Tuesday, July 10, 2012, in Campbellsville, KY.



Patricia Midkiff, Taylor County, KY (1930-2012)

Patricia Midkiff of Campbellsville, KY, was daughter of the late Benjamin Harrison McQuay and Estella Bailey McQuay, was born in Keokuk, Lee County, Iowa, Friday, January 3, 1930. She died Tuesday, July 10, 2012, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 82 years, 6 months, and 28 days.

In 1952 she graduated from the Deaconess Nursing School, and then retired after some 40 years of service as a Registered Nurse with the Deaconess Hospital.

She united in marriage to Thomas Clinton Midkiff. He preceded her in death January 15, 1988.

She is survived by the following:
  • One daughter and one son: Melanie Denzer and husband, William and Thomas Michael Midkiff of Elkhorn, KY

  • Two grandsons: Chad Stockfleth and Zachary Denzer of Louisville, KY

  • One niece: Shirley Lane of Eldorado, Illinois

  • And many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister: Robert McQuay and Juanita Logan.

Cremation was chosen.
