She was the matriarch of a large, respected Metcalfe County, KY, family. She leaves 10 direct living descendants. She was a member of Foundation United Methodist Church

Winnie Elma Holland age 96, of Edmonton, KY, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Metcalfe Health Care in Edmonton, KY.

Graveside services will be held 1pmCT, Thursday, July 12, 2012, at the Foundation Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:30amCT,Thursday until service time at Butler funeral home.

She was the daughter of the late Rollin and Hattie Cassady and member of the Foundation Methodist Church.

She is survived by the following:
  • Three grandchildren: Patti Kirby and Tracey Holland of Edmonton, KY; and Carla (Eddie) Russell of Glasgow, KY

  • Four great grandchildren

  • And three great great grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jim Holland, a son Carlos Holland and two grandsons Steve and Carlie Holland.
