She was a native of Perry County, Kentucky and a member of a large, respected Knifley, KY family with many relatives elsewhere. She leaves 42 direct living descendants

Zola Feltner, 88, Knifley, KY, formerly of Hazard, died Sunday July 8, in Knifley, KY.

The funeral will be at 2pmET/1pmCT, Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at Engle-Bowling Funeral Home, 301 East Main Street, Hazard, KY, with Jimmy Thorp, Timothy Morris, and Pearl Couch the officiating clergy. Interment will be at in Riverside Cemetery, Hazard, KY.

She was formerly of Hazard, KY.

She is survived by the following:
  • Four sons: Carter Couch and Versie, of Flowery Branch, GA; Billy Joe Couch, Hazard, KY; Johnny Couch and Tammy of Bonnyman, KY; and Eddie Couch and Brenda of Tazewell, TN

  • Step son: Pearl Couch, Lexington, KY
  • Two daughters: Bessie Maxey and Joe, Shreveport, LA and Yvonne "Bonnie" Stacy and Eddie of Columbia, KY

  • Two brothers: Bill Colwell and barb of Hamilton, Ohio; and Ray Williams and Ann of hazard, KY

  • Three sisters: Lizza Perkins, Chattanooga, TN; Janie Brown, London, KY; and Betty Newberry and Raymond of hazard, KY

  • Sister in law: Pauline Feltner, Middletown, OH

  • Fourteen grandchildren

  • Twenty one great grandchildren

  • One great great grandson

  • And a host of step grandchildren, step great granchildren, and nieces and nephews
